At first, I thought it was just an old piece of rope lying on the grass ā long, twisted, as if thrown there by accident.
But suddenly, a thought crossed my mind ā āWhat if this is a snake?ā š

My heart started beating faster. Instinctively, I took out my phone to take a picture of the scene. š¬ Driven by curiosity (and a bit of fear, of course), I decided to get closer. Each step felt dangerous, as if I might come face to face with something threatening⦠š
š§ When I got close ā I froze in astonishment.
It wasnāt what I imagined at all.
Turned out, it wasnāt a snake, nor a rope⦠š
The answer literally left me speechless.
Continuation ā in the comment šš
The strange thing I saw in the grass turned out to be a huge chain made up of about 150 earthworms.
They were clinging to each other tightly, some twisted, some stretched, forming a single moving, pulsating shape ā like a living thread.
I couldnāt believe that I was looking at something created entirely by nature ā that was right there in my own yard.
Why were they doing this? What were they forming? Even I couldnāt answer those questions.
Scientists say this fascinating phenomenon is called āearthworm entanglement.ā During strong rains, worms sometimes gather like this to migrate or escape from danger.
Incredible ā nature hides so many mysteries, and some of them lie right under our feet.
So next time you see something like this ā what would you think it is?
